Local Gymnasts Qualify For Nationals

LOCAL GYMNASTS QUALIFY FOR NATIONALS

Huntersville’s Everest Gymnastics is proud to have eight gymnasts qualify to Nationals after competing at the 2018 Region 8 Level 9/10 Regionals that were held in Bradenton, Florida on April 13-15.

For the Level 10 Regional:

  • Haleigh Bryant, of Cornelius, NC, competed in the senior age division. She received 1st for All-Around Champion, winning 1st on Bars, Beam, Floor and Vault.
  • Aniyah Taylor, of Cornelius, NC, competed in the junior age division. She received 2nd All-Around, placing 2nd on Beam and 3rd on Bars.
  • Amber Lowe, of Kennesaw, GA, competed in the junior age division. She placed 1st on Beam.
  • Julianna Weil, of Davidson, NC, competed in the senior age division. She placed 2nd on Vault.
  • Meredith Robinson, of Huntersville, NC, competed in the senior age division. She placed 3rd on Bars.
  • Isabelle Schaefer, of Huntersville, NC, competed in the junior age division. She received 3rd All-Around, placing 1st on Bars and 3rd on Beam.

These gymnasts have qualified to advance to the Level 10 Junior Olympic National Championships, which will be held in Cincinnati, OH on May 11 and 12, 2018.

For the Level 9 Regional:

  • Lilly Neal, of Cornelius, NC, competed in the senior age division. She received 2nd All-Around, placing 2nd on Floor and 3rd on Bars.
  • Madyson Baucom, of Mooresville, NC, competed in the junior age division. She received 2nd All-Around, placing 1st on Vault and 1st on Floor.

These gymnasts have qualified to advance to the Level 9 Eastern National Championships, which will be held in Rochester, NY on May 4 and 5, 2018.
