The 13 year-old gymnast will compete with other Junior Elite athletes at the US Classics in July

Charlotte, NC – March 19, 2019 – Everest Gymnastics’ very own Amber Lowe has qualified as Junior Elite. Lowe earned her rank as Junior Elite by scoring a 51.3 all-around at the KPAC Cup Elite Qualifier in Charlotte. The gymnast’s junior elite designation puts her in the upper echelon of competitive gymnastics, with opportunities to compete against the top gymnasts in the country, and potentially earn a National Team spot.

“We’re so excited and proud of Amber,” said Han Qi and Yiwen Chen, owners and coaches at Everest Gymnastics. “Amber is such a hard-worker and it’s so gratifying to watch her dedication pay off. This is an incredible honor for her.”

Lowe will compete in the US Classics in July – an honor bestowed on few athletes. To qualify for this meet, gymnasts under age 16 must attain an overall score higher than 50.5. Depending on her performance at the US Classic, Lowe could advance to the US Championships in August. A high score at the Championships could place her on the Junior National Team.
