Rec 1 Class (1 Hour)

Introductory gymnastics class for athletes ages 5 and up, with no prior gymnastics experience. Gymnasts will begin with warm-ups and stretching, which will teach them the importance of flexibility and are introduced to all four main gymnastics apparatuses: bars, beam, vault & floor exercises. Students will work on Forward and Backward rolls with the aid of mats, cartwheels, handstand preparation, pull overs on bars with the aid of mats and/or spotting, etc.These skills are the fundamental building blocks of almost all gymnastics skills!
